About Sara

As long as I can remember I’ve had a paintbrush in my hand, applying color to anything I came across (light switches included, sorry Mom). Coming from an artistic family, I always knew I would lead a creative life. A spark lit in high school when I was formally introduced to oil painting and I never turned back.

That spark led me to pursue a BFA at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Since then, I’ve turned design into a full-time career while honing my painting craft in my free time. I now reside on Chicago’s northside where I work on my painting practice in my home studio.
